Preparation:

In this shoot i will be going back to the field form shoot 3 in the evening and taking photos in the evening light.

Artist Research: Marcus Clackson:

"Although portraiture is my first base, where I endeavour to make that connection and find the positive, however delicate the situation or subject, it’s my eclectic love of art, music, food, nature and design, as well as years of solving photographic head-scratchers, which puts me in a great position to shoot across multiple genres with ease."

I then went on to edit my photos by changing the curves and brightness to make the contrasts better.

A03:Record ideas, observations and insights relevant to intentions, reflecting critically on work and progress.

My intentions towards this shoot was to photograph the nature of flowers at the a sunset glow. I was inspired from my research of Marcus Clackson and my research of blossom trees of Pinterest and their use of natural sunlight hitting the flowers. This lighting highlights a certain part of the image and created shadows as the sun shines through the tress onto the purple flowers. The images came out as I expected, however I had to pay particular attention to getting the focus and not having shaky hands due to no tripod.

With regards to some of the images that did not come out as I expected, some images lacked focus and detail due to not having the time to correctly position my camera or having the right equipment.

A01: Develop ideas through sustained and focused investigations informed by contextual and other sources, demonstrating analytical and critical understanding.

The artist research was helpful as I realised that there are many ways I could take the topic of plants but how my focus on flowers would highlight my full potential.  My research of Marcus Clackson has helped me with the editing as i tried to blur the background of my photos to create a better focus on the flowers etc.

A04:Present a personal and meaningful response that realises intentions and, where appropriate, makes connections between visual and other elements.

The final images produced were refined by developing the contrast and curves.
